PRESS: Russia’s Gazprom Energoholding mulls IPO in Asia in 2018
MOSCOW, May 13 (PRIME) -- Gazprom Energoholding, a power unit of Russian gas giant Gazprom, is considering an initial public offering (IPO) on an Asian market in 2018, CEO Denis Fyodorov told business daily Kommersant on Wednesday.
“I would like to fulfill this plan very much, I would prefer Asian markets. The latest contracts with Asian investors have demonstrated their interest to the Russian power. It is clear that it will barely be possible to do this in 2016. A possible deadline is 2018, when we reach a peak of EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) and profit of the companies we control,” the CEO said.
Gazprom Energoholding may soon announce a decision to have united shares with its affiliates, he said. The company will float shares only after they have been united, he said.
